Hartshorne/Huber Conditions

Im thinking of going to HArts tmw. Dont want to ride in snow at Chimney or 6 Mile. Curious to see conditions.

Harstshorne was pretty good this morning. Some areas where the trail is clear, some had a little snow and ice. Left at 11am when some thaw was taking place and getting a bit muddy in areas where the sun was hitting. Should be fine early tomorrow

I just got the call that I am off tomorrow. Any idea of how much snow down at Hartshorne?
Not recommended. Anything facing north and high elevation was firm but all low bellies and southern facing areas were wet wet. Some foot prints are gonna harden up like rocks and eill be very icy with the low temps.

But I have studded tires and it should be frozen. 🙂

Excellent Conditions. Everything was frozen and there was a layer of snow on top to give you traction. Everything was smooth, no big footprints, only one fat rut. The Rocky Point trail was a little icy and some parts were bare.

rode hartshorne/huber this morning...started from Huber around 730am right around freezing temps...trails were still almost completely frozen...crusty, rutty snow almost everywhere on the Huber side...

Hartshorne was more of the same with the exception of the south facing sections, especially Rocky Point, where conditions were actually really good...a little wet in spots...so we took it really slow / walked...

definitely a great day for the fat bike!

Anyone been recently? If so, how are the conditions?
Its good, everything is dry. Watch out for a down tree at head height going across rocky point. Its toward the end of Rocky Point if you go clockwise...or beginning if you go counter.

No picture with painted diagram showing this downed tree?
