Has anyone jumped on this "free" solar energy thing?

Does a solar setup really increase the sale price of a home? I've never looked.
It must depend on the setup. If there’s a bunch of panels on the roof that are clearly visible from the road, then it’s not to help. IMO anyway. But if it’s tucked away somewhere in the backyard, then maybe it increases?

We briefly looked into this and it was definitely an “it depends” situation. Again, the bullshit sandwich that your house will suddenly be more valuable is, well, bullshit.

In the end I was very turned off by the hype and misleading information. So I went and bought 3 cargo containers of coal.

Hope at least it was the new "clean" coal!

The house doesn't suddenly become more valuable. That the house comes with a zero electric bill is the feature a buyer will pay for using a mortgage.

Understood. But lifespan also comes into this equation. What if the panels are 22 years old? My point is that it’s not a binary thing.

We had a buyer fail to purchase. They had a signed deal on their house but their buyer didn’t read/understand the solar wasn’t fully paid off.
