Hello

Thx Everyone!! im trying to pin down which bike to get - @ 6ft 190lbs im thinking a large 29er full suspension with budget around $1200 or less- was looking at giant anthem 3, Giant trance, rocky mountain altitude.... was told nothing elss than fox suspension.. Thoughts/ comments? I will be primarily be riding ringwood/ waywayanda and other local rocky spots

I don't think fox is the only brand to look at when it comes to suspension, I ride rockshox, my buddy rides a new xfusion, both great forks.

Welcome.
I would buy new, not a fan of used mtb's. They break, if you don't have a warrenty you are sol. Also if you are new to the sport its good to build a relationship with your local bike shop, they will help you get the proper fit and provide service/info you can't get on your own.
 
welcome to the forum. i second iggy's advice. a good relationship with you lbs is invaluable.
