i was introduced to this site by joe and his friend lucy on monday at allaire. joe seems very knowledgeable and helped us out a lot. he also told us about the tues night rides, which we will be at!!

anyways, my name is andrew and im 22. i am just starting to bike along with a small group of friends. so far so good!! i am a snowboarder in the winter...

i am looking to buy my first real bike. i am looking at a 2008 fuji panic pro ($500) or the cannondale f7 ($600)
i wasnt really looking to spend more then $500 but dont want to settle for a lesser bike. any suggestions??

I thought my first bike ( a Trek 820 circa. 1989) was way too expensive at 350. Then I purchased my second bike for just under 2K, and still wanted to do upgrades. Buy what you can afford, and enjoy it. Looking back, I had as much fun on that first bike as on any other.
