Hey there NJMBERS..I'm Mike from the town of Bayville . Had a Sears Free spirit bike in the 80s and just threw it away a couple of years ago. My 23yo daughtrer with her bf biked from NY to FL fo CA over 5ooo miles. So that and a health issue have got me motivated. I picked up a one owner Trek 8ooo that is great...so I'm off on a new adventure....rode the rail trail here a few times..lovin it !
 
Howdy....a lot of us got into cycling for health reasons. But I warn you, just like other medications, it can be addicting.
 
Been out on a couple of 4 milers and feel great so looking to get it up to ten or so...see what happens...

welcome aboard, check out the group ride at allair this coming saturday and certainly show up for the JOBRA bike festival on june 18th in the rides/races/events section of the site, you will get to meet some of us MTBNJers and enjoy some new trails
 
Welcome aboard if you get a chance come on up to allaire for the Tuesday beginner rides 6:00 hospital road lot we had 33 people tonight and no one got lost 🙂

As long as the chain is lubed and you keep an eye on the tire side walls for any possible rot/bulge that bike is ready to rumble....

and to one of the posters...A Jeep thing? know all about it ...have 2 now and have had about 10!

We are in Toms River.Allaire rides on tues. evenings are a great place to start.
Have you tried Jakes Branch Co Park in So. Toms River? Very beginner friendly and close by. I also have an older Trek 8000 but these days Pat and I ride our Ventana tandem. Its the same color as your Trek. If you see us be sure to say Hi.
