I am just perplexed by the price point of the voytek 2 frame, it’s more expensive then a mid group arctodus…I need a new fat bike like I need to be kicked in the groin, but can’t help lurking in the dark for that price to come down…Arctodus is a home run. I’ve owned basically every Fat Bike ever made and it’s seriously in a league of its own. It feels good everywhere. Loaded, not loaded, beach, snow, singletrack, doesn’t matter. If the Ti one was available when I bought mine I wouldn’ve gotten that one instead.

But the arctodus ti frame is only $250 more than that…Steel vs Carbon.

100%. I love this bike.Arctodus is a home run. I’ve owned basically every Fat Bike ever made and it’s seriously in a league of its own. It feels good everywhere. Sad to hear the Trick Star will go, but a great time to sell it. And good choice - I do love my Arctodus!Just pulled the trigger and ordered a Glacier blue Arctodus. Pretty geeked, bought the complete bike with a few upgrades. Carbon bars and post, XT drivetrain and premium headset. Eventually I’ll build some 27.5 carbon wheels and probably get a suspension fork for it. Who knows, either way it will see some miles in the Pine Barrens.
Looking forward to the narrower Q factor as i am now getting some knee pain after riding the Blackborow. Not sure if it’s the wider Q, the singlespeed, how many more miles I’m riding or all of the above.
This was an N-1+1 situation, selling a Hutch TrickStar and other vintage stuff to get this.
But then you'd have to change your screen name...Not selling the oddball Trick Star, I have another US made one that does have the rear stands and coaster bracket.
TBH, my nostalgia has faded enough that I could sell the odd one to get a tandem fat bike. A Ventana El Gran Jefe would be nice.
I have to see what I have to sell, maybe I should pull the plug on my reserve parts. Either way, I’d be up to split a table and I’ll help you get top dollar 🙂Across multiple platforms too, too much work. Better to keep it. 😁
Really need to put it back together and take it to some local shows, including the one One Piece Crank posted.
Looks solid, and I love the bright blue frame. Crazy to think it still only comes in around 50 lbs fully kitted out. Ventana really knows how to balance strength and rideability on their tandems. It’s great! Ventana makes a fantastic product, it went together easily. Really stable on the trails and rolls great on the beach and sand. Much faster with two too, my son is loving it, wife also! The handling and fit is a nice step up from our old Cannondale MTB tandem, much better traction up front in the woods. The Manitou feels great, wasn’t sure how it was gonna work out on a tandem. I’ll relace the wheels and get some Jumbo Jims when i can, the wheels/ tires are over a decade old. It weighs in at an even 50 lbs like this with the bags and cages. The 10 speed sram drivetrain and avid bb7 brakes came off of my wife’s 10 year old bike with less than 50 miles on it, she’ll never notice.

The full suspension El Conquistador I sold to @SLug weighed about 44 lbs. Only a few pounds more than the Schwinn Varsity I had as a kid.Looks solid, and I love the bright blue frame.
