I’ve watched about 12 hours of training videos on the suspension design and shock. The Genie can be tuned to feel like any other shock in the market. There’s videos testing it against anything you can think of and they get it to mimic any set up. They use computers and data though so I doubt you’re into that. Seem more like a yells at cloud type 😂

You seem very dismissive for someone that paid no attention to my points. Let me be clear.
1) The new Levo has a sub 20% progression, so if you want to run a coil you will be disappointed.
2) the new Levo uses a yoke on its shock. Yokes are tough on shocks, they transmit more load into the shock and seals, expect more ware and tear.
3) the Levo suspension design still mounts the shock under the top tube, this kinda sucks if you have short legs. Shock mounted on the top tube means higher stand over, I was hoping they would go to a Status design with the shock mounted on the down tube, these bike have lower top tubes.
4) the Geinie shock is just a bandaid for a poor suspension design. When you have a more progressive suspension design you can run lower air pressures without bottoming out. The Geinie is just a more complicated Float x, what could go wrong with a more complicated air shock….. cough, cough X2 was total crap… cough….

Now if you will excuse me, there are some clouds that aren’t going to yell at them selves…😁

It is a different amount of travel and a different feel.. That said I have Shuttle Sl's in SM and LG that need a new home and i'd be willing to deal on..

TQ is pretty tame and barely worth the trouble. Certainly not enough punch to ride w/ other on a CX or even a SX drive unit.

One of the better deals out there is the polygon bikes with the Bosch motors…..

Polygon Siskiu TE-N - Bosch E-Mountain Bike

The 2025 Polygon Siskiu TE-N (or T8E to keep it simple) is an all-mountain e-bike with 150mm of front travel and 140mm of rear travel. It features a dropper post, a Bosch Performance Line CX motor with 85Nm of torque, and a Bosch Powertube battery with a capacity of 625Wh.

Bike seems pretty heavy for such a small motor. Surprised it wasn't sub 40#

I'll be the one to point out that doing business with a LBS is smartest decision when purchasing emtb. Warranty is heavily leaned on more so then a muscle bike. Just ask @jdog and @Steve Vai

The TQ is likely fine for that until your friends get ebikes. I spent some time on the mondraker NEAT last year and I for my use it wasn't worth the trouble. The bike rode great, but the run time was short and it was useless for riding with else on a full powered e-bike.

At minimum i'd look at something w/a SX motor like this :

This will allow you a longer range and the ability to run a range extender.

I know this sounds like sour grapes from a #bikeshopguy, but daily I see firsthand dismissal by DTC brands of valid warranty claims / grievances. I would love if you would consider buying a bike from our shop, but if not, please consider supporting any local shop. Especially one who supports local cycling advocacy.. Trail Building, NICA, Jorba etc..
