El Guac-Oh
I think I saw one or two posts asking about conditions at D Jungle.
As of today, some sections collect a lot of water but other sections are nice and dry. Expect some mud, maybe a little more than some in certain sections. It just has been too much fcuking rain!
Couldn't do Dumptruck 😡 As I was going in, just after the rock entrance and the first turn, ran into huge ass bear....I dunno if it is the same one VB mentioned, but this makes 3 out of 3 for me, 3 rides there and 6 bear sightings!!!! WTF!!!! first time mom+ cubs, then one and today the biggest of them all! I had to turn around and went back up the road to yellow.
I;ve never ran into a bear by myself, other times I was in a group and I knew for sure I wasn't the slowest 😉 so I never thought much of it. But today, I could swear he was following me 😀. It didn't help my worries that I had the SS and I felt again like shit and was sooooooooo slow :drooling:
But back to the trails.
I rode Orange for the first time and it kicks ass! I also did the unmarked trail off Orange and it also kicks ass. Tight, twisty singletrack, the unmarked was more rocky so even better! Also did usual yellow & red (both ways) and warthog (white)
The orange trail should have bengal markers
:getsome:
... now that I think of it, all markers should have animal prints, after all isn't it The Jungle ??😀
I went back and check the JORBA site for the description of the latest trail work and it doesn't seem to be in this area, it is closer to Warthog, so I must've missed other new stuff (or new for me at least)
Great to see trails are growing!!
I am going to try to make at least one of those 'diggin on Tuesdays' sessions.
