Las Vegas- Bike Rental

I'm going to rent a mountain bike for a day while out in Las Vegas. Taking a shot to see if anyone on the board could suggest a place to rent a NICE full suspension. I certainly can find this on the interweb but I'm looking for a non bias opinion from someone local. Looking for a place that would provide transportation, possibly offer options to different trails and puts a premium on maintaining their bikes.

Thank you

Spencer

I tagged along to Vegas last year with my wife who went out for a conference. We didn't have a car, so I ubered to All Mountain Cyclery in Boulder City each morning. It's like a one mile road ride to Bootleg Canyon from the shop. I had a three day rental and just left the bike at the shop each day. Highly recommended.

Thanks Jim.

What did you ride there?

Hoping they have maps there. Yup I said it... Maps! Lol

I will have around 4 hours the first day to ride and about 6 hours the next day. Are there different trail heads around the shop?

They probably have maps, but make sure you ask them beforehand.

I took the same route to the main entrance each day, and I would say there was plenty for me to ride to fill three days. There's other places out that way to ride, but I didn't want to rent a car and deal with the hassle of transporting the bike around. I also did some rail trail type of thing that went out to Hoover Dam the one day, and you go through some cool train tunnels through the rock. It's from an old railway they built to get materials to the dam when they were building it. Some pics here: https://www.strava.com/activities/892724868

Spencer @The Kalmyk -- I like physical paper/laminated/tyvek maps too. But then again i.also like to write out longform i.teresring rides and trails. @Norm can attest to this.

If you have time, a road ride to Red Rock Canyon is worth the trip. It's just outside of downtown and was one of my favorite places to visit whenever I stayed with my brother. Don't forget to hit the copious Vietnamese restaurants, best I've ever had.

I thought I was good and redirection. Walt, you have the uncanny ability to re direct any thread- all good. 🙂

Please share with me the Vietnamese restaurant that stood out the most while you were there. I will make it a point to verify your claims.

Is Red Rock near Boulder City?

Is this a Nov show trip? I’ve thought about doing this but can’t swing it this year.

Yessir!

Eric, do you mean you can’t make the show or can’t do the biking?

Because if you’re going to the show, we are having an open bar for three hours on Thursday from 5-8pm. The Eyecandy Sound Lounge in the Mandalay. I’d love if you and your team could stop by. Schedules fill up quick so I completely get if you can’t make it.

Im not a drinker so more for others🙂
