Calling this one Lois Kent. Kept only the frame and sold parts for $150. All parts are from my bins, though considering a dropper, but the odd 30.4 post size means a shimmed 27.2.
Frame: Kent Trouvaille
Fork: Reba RL 95
Wheels: DT Swiss 240 with Crest rims
Tires: XR4 2.4
Mechs: X9 clutch with XT cassette (12-40)
Cranks: LX with RF chainring 32T
Brakes: Avid XO
Kickstand: stock

No way this is for someone 5'2", solid medium with a long reach. Haven't measured but similar to the ROS9 HT angle so about 68 degrees. I'll give it a shake down ride on Wednesday.

Wow. That is one amazing build. It's funny that your parts bin got so much of stuff.

I'm impressed that you were able to sell the parts for 150, making your frame like what $50?

We should have a Walmart bikes group ride.:D
 
Didn't get out for the shakedown ride till today. Actually joined the Thursday MeetUp group at 6MR and got to ride with @Mare and @Fire Lord Jim.

A quick review of the bike. Overall not a bad ride, the worst part was the steering as I used the stock headset which uses a sealed bearing on top but non-sealed on the bottom. After about 100 yards the headset started binding and was a sketchy workout during the 90 min ride. Almost fell off two bridges and didn't even attempt the concrete bridge. Going to order a replacement headset and not just bearings as the cups looked rather poorly machined.

Another niggle is the excessive stack height. Even without spacers, the stem will be higher than what I prefer on hardtails. Considering a one degree angleset to slacken the front a tad. The XR4s at 6mr was overkill, XR3 front and XR2 rear would have been ideal.

I'll hold off on the dropper at the moment though with the long reach and offset seatpost, it was tough getting behind the saddle at descents. After an updated headset and a dropper, it will be decent at Hartshorne where it will live most it's life. Before that, let's get some local rides in.

Your bike got a lot of attention!
 
Got a new lower headset for the Kent but unfortunately not Funn... The size is apparently not standard, didn't bother to measure but it's not 56mm. The unsealed bearings are too shallow for a CCreek race but the Funn race stacked on top of another race seems to do the trick. Much smoother now and no binding.

Mech: XTR 11spd
Cranks: FSA SLK carbon w/ OneUp oval ring
Brakes: Shimano M8000
Dropper: Rockshox Reverb external
Bars/stem: Ritchey Trail
Tires: Hans Dampf front, Racing Ralph rear

$450 + parts bin.

Around the yard, rides really well. Like the geometry, much better than the Kent and maybe even the ROS9. Won't get a shakedown ride till mid next week. Anyone interested in a group ride lmk.
