Max Heart Rate

age 53
Max HR: 170

been that way for awhile now. i'll break out the monitor for ST this week.

Mountain climbers have noticed that people with a low resting heart rate ( under 40 ) seem to do better at high altitudes.

age: 26
resting is low 40s last check (42 iirc) max is over 200, last check was years ago(i should really go and take another shot at it for a recent number) and came in at 209

most road rides i average 165ish
off road riding tends to be higher 170-175

Age 50
My max HR 190
My highest suffer score was 193
Usual suffer score is around 70-120 depending on where I ride

I'll be 55 in September, my max is 188 and my resting HR is in the low 40's. I've done plenty of long endurance races and rides where I average in the high 170's for 5+hours . Keep in mind HR is only a small part of it, Vo2 max is another interesting number to track.

I stopped wearing my HRM a few years back. Believe it or not, it makes me claustrophobic. I can't really explain it. Something about having that thing around my chest causes imaginary walls to close in on me...

Anyway, when I was racing and training a lot harder than I do these days, I'd average 175-185 in a race and peak at 200-210.

Weird , I can't breath when I have one one . Freaks me out ...thought I was the only one . I can't even wear one on my treadmill at home . It's odd . I always though it was because I got caught in a crawl space under a house for a few hours and I almost went out of my mind .

i just got a fit bit free from work. i don't care about the steps thing but the heart rate is a nice add on. my old max heart rate in my 20s was the high 180s. i hope this fit bit thing works and i can figure it out again at some point. i'm guessing its lower. i'll have to figure it out once my acute bronchitis and sinus infection pass.

my resting rate is in the 50s. so i'm decent at being lazy.
