Mercer County Park Conditions

Rumor has it that conditions are awesome out there. Bring bug spray and do not stop moving! Get out and ride!

its not a rumor...

was overall great, needs a trimming here and there but a lot less mud than I expected, and in short doses in the spots that are always that way. Should be stellar Sat and Sun.

didn't use any bug spray and got not one bite, but I never stopped moving.

may join u, but the forecast says 78 degrees and 90% humidity... isn't going to feel so much like "beating the heat" lol. Hydrate now!

I hear ya. It beats 95 degrees with 90% humidity though. That's why I like to start at 6 am but everyone is too skeered! Lol

I rode today at 11ish. While it what hot and humid it wasn't too bad in the trees and you kept moving. There were only a few muddy spots, but all rideable.

Lots of thorns, especially on the blue trail on the north side of the lake. Pretty much tore up my arms.

Trails are great!

Rode this morning and outside some muddy patches on blue out to the boathouse, the trails are looking good. Def bring plenty of bug spray and be ready to get some thorn scars....

Mercer County 7/14 Conditions

Great ride this morning at Mercer. 8 miles of damp but not soaked trails. Rode the twisties of the Yellow Trail, hit up the left side of the Red Trail, and rode the waters edge on Red. As we crossed over parts of the trail we rode earlier in the day, most of the water had receded. Little muddy but nothing unbearable.

Some overgrowth but still fun!

Rode MCP yesterday in some great biking weather. Trails looked good, outside some muddy spots. Lots of overgrowth on Blue from behind the tennis courts up through the bridge crossing over to the East entrance.

Some of the single track on the west side is overgrown too.

Overall a fun ride!

Good conditions

Rode the blue "loop" today, some overgrown areas but overall it rode well. A few muddy spots (the usual areas) but not bad. More roots exposed than I remember - give credit to the large amount of rain for that erosion.

Cudos to the TM peeps, the rocks, logs, and burms all look and ride great!

Conditions are fantastic at Mercer, all sections are clear, dry and rideable...leaves are tolerable...get out there!

MCP Conditions are fantastic...dry and wonderful...go get some miles in...while the leaves are dry.

Parked @ Marina and rode 8 miles between there and the dam , trails were dry and pretty sweet. Last week rode both sides including the extra 2 miles on blue going past the boat house to the single trac which eventually leads you to the road in the neighbor hood. Awesome trails . Thank you to those that do Trail Maintenance .

Went west from the marina @11:30 today towards Van Nest on yellow where it goes into the twisty section near Hugh's Drive. Started with frozen conditions and smooth However, further near Hugh's drive on certain sections RUTS were everywhere bad ones... particularly where recent TM work was done:cry:...
Folks if your headed out for a ride this time of year please pay attention to conditions. Freeze-thaw soil conditions can destroy trail surfaces. If it's frozen all is well but if above freezing, recent rain or even a strong sunny day please be considerate. If it's that muddy turn around and head home PLEASE.😉
