I am curious where you hit he hike a bike sections?
 
There is some new legal singletrack recently built and in the works. The illegal stuff is really good, from what I've heard, but it's illegal so I'll never know. Lippman/Lundy can be connected to the carriage roads with relative ease (Smiley Rd.) There is another singletrack section (7 miles or so) from the carriage roads that bring you off the ridge and into New Paltz. Hit me up if ya ever want a tour...it's my backyard.

Mile 28 - 29.75 was hike trail where most of the early portions was something that would be tough to ride on a FS XC bike. So I shouldered most of the first mile. I was then able to ride the rest which was a really wet rooty single-track hiking trail. If I were to do it again, I'd leave this out and find another way around.
