and considering the infinite size of the universe (and the almost certainty that there exist intelligent life thousands if not millions years more advanced than us) how can one say that alien apocalypse is impossible?

ok, but i don't think it will be a natural disease then, i think it will be manufactured, and controlled (or controllable?)
