-I live in Hopatcong. We happen to have what i would estimate( poorly) to be 5-10 square miles of trails between us and the Byram/Lenape area know as devil's foot print. I ride it somewhat regular even though its much better suited for the dirtbikes/ quads that frequent it. It has alot of washed out gravel and sandy areas as well as glass and other refuse from the local hoodlums. But it also has some unique rock features rolling hills and wicked rock gardens that could be incorporated into some interesting riding. I believe with some TLC this could become a fun area to ride. i think that any thing we can open and improve is a bonus to riders around here.
-So my real question is who in my municipality would i need to get in touch with to find out about ownership issues, accessibility and so on. Also who i should contact from Jorba or any other orgs in the area that might be of help in this endeavor. And any other feedback on the likely hood of cleaning up these trails and getting legitimate access for cyclists.
-If anyone near by would be interested in helping out that be a big bonus. cant wait to hear what everyone has to say. You dig?:hmmm: I wanna dig!😉
