New to the site, been biking for almost 2 years now. Did my 2nd race this past weekend at Waway and met a bunch of girls and guys, just can't wait till the next race! I live in NYC so if there's any people out there stuck on the city streets during the week I am here to ride!

hello new beginner chick!! it's always great to hear about new riders joining the series. stick it out for all 8 races (they're all easier than this one) slippery pointy rocks not my fave. have fun out there!!

I rode highbridge once back on the first day it ever opened. have thought about goign back but have been told not to ride there alone

I rode sprain almost everyday last year b/c i lived 4 miles away. also rode a bit at graham and sometimes stewart.

I would love to check out cunningham! how long would it take for me to get there from manhattan, do you ever ride in the evenings?
I am so used to riding in westchester and there I was comfortable ridnig alone, but everyone has told me not to do that at highbridge and cunningham.

I could ride there late afternoons.. maybe 4-5 o'clock the latest. From Manhattan by Car? anywhere from 30 -60 minutes.. I guess it depends where in manhattan. By train Im not sure. It will be worth the trip.. its a fun place.
About riding alone... I guess I'd never recommend it, anywhere.. but I have only seen a few people in there that were not Mtn Biking.. although late afternoons may be a different story. Its a nice area of queens.. pretty quiet too..
 
Welcome to the site... I'm also new myslef. I'm right next to the bridge on the jersey side... a good weekday ride that I've been doing its Garret MT in West Paterson nothing too diffcult and its only like 30min from the Bridge (GWB) ... see u around

Well, I don't work on Sundays/Mondays so maybe one of those days. Probably couln't make it to cunningham until about 5:30/6PM after work. Will be visiting my grams this weekend, but am back on Tuesday, let me know if there are any nights that work for you...or maybe next monday - 5/18?
