Hi All.

Just wanted to say a quick hi. I'm Josh from Franklin Lakes. Just getting into MTB over the past year. Raced BMX as a kid and I'm an avid skier/snowshoe/hiker. Got sick of watching all the people rip by me on bikes while out hiking with my wife in Ringwood, so here I am! Would love to meet up with some people to show me around Ringwood, Shepard's Lake, Skylands, etc. I've hiked back there, but def don't have the knowledge to go back there on a bike just yet. I'm in decent shape, so shouldn't hold anyone up too much.

Let me know if anyone is looking to ride up there once things dry up.

Thanks and thanks. Pete, we're neighbors! I've done a ton of hiking back in Ramapo just b/c it's so close. Wasn't really sure what the deal back there was with riding. Would love to chat with you sometime about it or take a ride through there if you're up for it.

I've promised JerseyPete a tour of RW (and Waway & JH) for a while now and you're welcome to come along.

I love Ringwood, this is def. a favorite. Don't be afraid to explore solo, out Skylands trail to Shepards lake is pretty easy to navigate and imo probably one of the best trails in NJ.
 
Thanks for all the advice guys. Much appreciated. If possible shoot me a PM, and let me know when you're going out. If I can make it, I'd love to tag along. And pooriggy, that's a good call on Skylands for a solo ride. I've hiked that one, it's really nice.

Looking forward to meeting some of you guys on the trails.

I went out and rode a little at Ringwood on Sunday. That place is massive! I'm planning on checking out Ramapo this Sunday and had a few questions. I usually park at the upper lot on Skyline Dr for hiking. If I was going to park there to ride, what's the best trail/loop to hit from there? Would love something on the moderate side if possible. Still getting used to clipless pedals! Whats the Cannonball trail like?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What time of day do you ride? As in wheels down at 6:30-45 AM?
