Hey All,

Just wanted to drop a quick line introducing myself.

I'm a grad. student at Princeton. Mostly a roadie, but I've developed an interest in mountain biking by way of cyclocross--basically, I decided that I like knobbies, mud, and singletrack enough to give actual mountain biking a try.

I volunteer at Princeton's bike co-op, the Cyclab. I'm also ride with Princeton's road team. Generally I'm out and about on a Van Dessel Rivet (road frame) or a Surly CrossCheck (cyclocross/commuter). Give a holler.

Most recently: I've cobbled together a frankenstein of a mountain bike (Trek 4300 with assorted bits and bobs) from scraps at the co-op, and I'm looking forward to hitting the trails and learning a bit about fat tires.

Yeah, I'm looking forward to checking out Six Mile on a mountain bike - I've done a bit of riding in Community Park North, but it's relatively small, and I've heard that Six Mile is a bit more extensive. Same with Mercer County Park. See you out there!

Also feel free to get in touch with me if you have any questions about the Cyclab--or just drop by. We have plenty of tools and stands, and it's always nice to see new faces in the community.

Welcome to the asylum 😉

Cyclab seems pretty cool. Maybe one day when I decide to attempt to absorb and retain how to maintain my bike I'll check it out 🙂

Welcome aboard and thank you for the Cyclab info. Very cool stuff!!!!

A newbie posting question: Suppose that I wanted to put up a notice about the CycLAB--and the Bike Library in New Brunswick, the Bike Exchange in Trenton, and other volunteer co-ops/community bike programs. In which forum would I create such a thread? Does one already exist?

i would put it in the general bike talk section, but then what do i know, i just visit the site

Welcome!

Cyclab sounds Awesome! Great idea!

Give me a shout if you ever want someone to show you around at Mercer. It's my mountain biking home base. 🙂
