Hello everyone ,

My name is Candace and I am brand new to this forum and to this website .. I live in New Brunswick and I am interested in getting to know some new people that have the same interests that I do !

I mostly ride during the week at 6 mile but I am open to trying new places as well ..

there's a Monday ride in Chimney which is a good gauge on your skills, I think @Dominique frequents this one if you want to give it a try

btw: welcome from Flash

Welcome to the site!

There is a Chimney Rock ride every Monday but I would consider going to Nassau and Lewis Morris if you've only ever ridden 6 miles. Of course, if you love (small) rocks... chimney rock will be perfect!

All good suggestions.

Since you only mentioned that you ride 6 Mile (my local trail BTW) I'm assuming it's the only park you've ridden. If this isn't the case, ignore this and skip to the next response.

@Dominique is correct to suggest Lewis Morris, because it actually goes up... And Nassau because it has more than 1 Rock AND parts go up.

If you've never been on any rocks at all, I have an odd suggestion.

I've had success introducing adults to rocks by first having them ride over the spillway on the D&R towpath about a mile south of the Blackwell Mills causeway a couple of times before going to an actual park (with rocks) for the first time.

It's not the rocks themselves, they are very low profile, it's the fact that you have 100 feet of nonstop front wheel bouncing and that can be a bit unnerving at first.

Either way, have fun.
