Non tubeless tires with tubeless rims

silca tire pressure calculator has a total system weight of 220 (that means you and your bike btw) with 28mm measured tires at 73 psi

and down to 63 psi if you pick "puncture resistance tire"

hell even 250lb it goes to 70psi

you gotta goto 450lbs to get it to 80psi and then the calculator breaks lol

Are saying with tubes I can run 73 psi.? I am older but we were always told to use a higher pressure with tubes.

That calculator has been very good to me, it wont make you magically faster, but with the lower pressure you should be more comfortable and go just as fast. and if you're more comfortable you will want to ride more and that will make you go faster.

its usually within 5 psi of what feels good to me at least.

Thanks. At 68 not trying to go fast anymore buy I would like to be more comfortable. I am done with 23 to 24 mph group rides.
