Drop much? DH much? Ride equipment more than 1 season?..... It’s just different riding styles. I am a bit of a bulldozer when I ride, I have the grace of a sledgehammer.

I pretty much knocked out after taking a shower.
I want to blame it on the heat and humidity but i'm not going to discount me being out of shape. So... I am going to be less lazy and try to get more active. Hopefully this will get my base back up.

So far they have held up, the front wheels bearings needed replacement. Just changed out the cogstack and the rear wheels bearings don’t feel so hot..... more shopping....

I wanna make this. I will confirm once I get my "permission slip" signed. 🙂 Really just need to make sure there is not something that I am unaware of happening that day. I was glad you jumped 2 weeks, because the June 2/3 weekend is spoken for with graduation party one day and anniversary the next.

Had a great time at Nassau so hoping to but depends on babysitter availability and weather during the week. I got a lot of yard maintenance. Should know by Wednesday or Thursday

Glad to hear the handbuilt wheels are holding up. Just changed the rear bearings in my Hopes this winter after only two plus seasons. Put in some Enduro bearings and hoping for longer life.

From what I understand and experienced, there is usually a big turn out on these mtbnj group rides. Hence, they will probably break up into groups and you should be able to find a group that is more of your pace.
This shouldn't be like that. The Group Ride series is aimed at getting people out at parks they're not familiar with, and to add a social aspect to the community here. Pace is generally dictated by the composition of riders that show.

on the contrary, as already mentioned, most of these rides are split into 3 groups. You'll do fine in either the first or second group. Which are roughly CAT 3 minus or plus respectively.
