So, I have a question about the fat bike build and looking for advice.

I want to upgrade the drivetrain on the bike from what it originally came with and I am thinking Sram NX 11 speed to match the Kona. Thinking is that it acts as a spare set of the drive system. I should be able to put that in place for 180-220, but part of me wants to upgrade to Eagle NX and shift the 11 speed down to the fat bike, but that would delay me building up the fat bike until after the holidays because NX eagle is like 350-380. I also wouldn't have spare parts if something happened to the Kona.

What do y'all think?
 
I feel like shoes are one of those things I wouldn't buy used since I know I wouldn't sell mine after what they've been through
Even if its only worn few times a year and you are buying for a fraction of the cost of new?
BTW... wanna buy my bib shorts? Only worn a handful of times.

I don't know about fat bikes... but do they have the same bb length?

Keep the NX 11 and put a smaller Chsinring on the front at least until you get some miles on it.
 
Ok so I already have a race face 1x 28t chainring on the bike one of the nice perks it came with. it is possible to convert them over did some research on this, in fact, it is pretty popular. I am really just deciding if I should upgrade the Kona or get a second 1x11 cassette RD and shifter.

Upgrade the Kona. It’s what’s gonna get the most use..... hence the biggest bang for your buck. 😉

Great idea except the fatty has no drivetrain other than BB and chainring. Also need to source a seat post, handlebars, stem risers and grips. Pretty sure I am taking the brakes from the Kona if that ever happens.
