OOS MOGA

I'm out, think I have broken ribs. Good crash on the CX bike coming in hot on a gravel bed.
Also a quick end to the Halter's contest for me, see you guys in late August....

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, hope you heal quick!!! 🙁

I wouldn't call this group OOS... It's more like people who want to enjoy themselves riding and having a good time (beginner or advanced) and don't want to ride with other riders thinking it's a race and trying to get those awards on Strava.

when you take the podium for slowest rides you tend to stack those awards quick!

yes indeedy, was test riding my youngest's bike on some downtown hiking paths. Started having fun and forgot I wasn't on a mtb as the CX bike is now a flatbar for her. Pushed hard into a turn then BAM, yardsaled everywhere and landed on my side. It was getting dark and me blind as a bat since my glasses were another 10-15 ft away and had to crawl around to look for them. I did ride for another 45 mins to get my hour and didn't feel bad riding. Putting the bike back on the rack was an ordeal. When I got home, had to tell my kid to get me Advil since it was too high for my hands to reach them and not tell mom I may have broken ribs. Yeah, bad luck the past two weeks: Poison, bashed shin/arm, busted ribs.

So... according to the weatherman this morning, no rain tomorrow morning. Rain is expected in the late afternoon.
Weather wise, looks like 7/4 DP 8AM ride is good to go with preride at 7AM?

We just need to settle on a meet up spot

@echappy if you get your bike fixed... or if you want any of us to take a look at it, come on down!
I am also bringing a neighbor to this ride

Damn.... too many asians on this ride. Should there be a quota on how many asians can come? lol

Am I missing anyone else or anyone else joining?
So... with Walter on the DL, no 7AM pre-ride.
Looking at weather.com... things don't look good. John Elliot this morning said no rain until later in the day tomorrow.
Which forecast do we go with?

Dude... you should have said it was from MC and I would have believed it. lol
Sorry to make light of your misfortune. Heal up soon and when you are back... at least I will still be OOS

Bummer but give it a few days, it's actually pretty hard to break ribs. More likely bruised or at worst cracked. I've had multiple rib injuries in crashes, and almost always was back on the bike in a week. Also depends where they are injured, I've been lucky that breathing was never impeded. Good luck!

I'll be there.

get it together!!! pat
LOL
dude... it aint me. Knowing my wife, she's gonna forget things here and there and its understandable because she and the kid will be in Korea for couple of months.
It is difficult to prepare for such a long trip. I'll prolly end up FedExing stuff to her. lol
But on Friday, we will be doing the last leg of shopping for her and as long as we get this nailed, I should be good for Sunday.

Korea for couple of months.

Idk what I would do with that kinda time, I haven't been a single man since I was 17. Me as a big boy alone for months pshhhh I'd be dead from malnutrition. Lucky charms and rib-eyes will only get you so far. But hey I'd also get rid of all my carpeting and refinish the floors and do a bathroom and kitchen reno since who needs showers and a working kitchen when you have lucky charms and a grill.

PARTY AT PAUL'S HOUSE!!! someone start the thread!
