Every year I talk about this about now and it never gets done. So lets give it a try again.
"Building a skills course in the back yard"
Last year I didn't have enough wood but this year I did some deck work and may have enough, I really don't want to spend much other than for nails and hardware. Guessing I have about 300-400 linear ft of PT lumber and a recycled swing set to use. MrsQ wants the swing set gone, so I can pretend to take it apart for my project in the woods. I've always struggled with building anything higher than 2 ft as the foundation starts to burn a lot of wood. So I was thinking to use trees as supports, thoughts on this method?
Also have many downed trees to work with but they are too heavy to move and endless supply of Watchung basalt but no dirt, which is why a pump track idea is dead.
