Post a picture of your next bike part or mtb gear on order!

Yea. So. I watched the Bike Sauce video and saw what you're talking about. I ordered a 822 and realized even that might end up being a bodge after reading through the comments. So I cancelled the 810 shifters and ordered the 610s for basically a $50 difference.

But yea, the Diverge might happen if this doesn't work. I'm confident it will. Sorta. 😄
The reach looks very close but the stack like most flat bar bikes are too high, about 1.5-2" higher than the Diverge, unless you're looking for very relaxed fit. Worth trying and a negative rise stem may do the trick. Let us know how you make out.

That's the part I'm concerned about. First thing I do before anything else will be to put the handlebars on to get a sense of how this will all feel.

They're still not going to work most likely, 610 and 810 have the same pull ratio. I can't find anywhere the pull ratio of these shifters...damn, that really bothers me.

Sorry I misled you confusing the 610 (12s) with the 600 (11s). Thank you @Bikeworks for pointing that out.

the interesting part from the link above is:

Beyond these changes, they’re a familiar product under the surface with cable routing from the top and the serviceable/adjustable clutch mechanism for chain retention (unlike the non-serviceable SRAM Apex). That said, they do use a revised cable pull ratio, that according to Shimano, is officially not cross-compatible with 11-speed road or Shimano’s MTB 12-speed components. These new derailleurs are, however, cross-compatible with the freshly released Shimano 105 R7100 12-speed shifters.

Advent micro-shift makes drop bar end shifters that looks compatible with 1x12 mtb shifters. if you want to go that way.

610(12s) + 822(12s) = Tom is good to go, no?

Impulse ordered a new GT LaBomba Frame. Initially I didn't think there was enough difference between this one and my 2015 LaBomba, but after some careful measuring , I realize there is. Longer reach and shorter chainstays under the same wheelbase. After spending a few days at Rays recently, I think this will be an improvement for my riding.

I think a long Transition PBJ frame would have been preferable, but the 50% off GT deal was too hard to ignore.

DO IT! Yes, the transition PBJ is a very nice bike. I picked one up in size "short" for my daughter last year. I had hoped it would be fun for me too, but's too small for me, especially when setup for her.

The dimensions of their size "Long" which are a little bigger than the LaBomba, would likely be perfect for me, but hopefully the LaBomba is close enough. Ultimately price made the decision. Pretty sure I have enough parts laying around so I can have both LaBombas built up which is a bonus.

Thank you but it was just a joke, my shonky doesn’t get enough mileage as it is, it would really be absurd to get a second DJ bike!

Not enjoying the latest build, flat mount brakes are a real pain. Bought these hoses to replace ones which won't work for internal setups.

But then looked closer at the calipers...

And think I actually need these...

Anyone know if I can use the ones I ordered and reuse the eyelet part which attaches to the caliper? Compression, barb and ferrule otherwise looks the same. I'll give TF a call anyway on Monday, but they likely would have already shipped out. Apparently I didn't know flat mount brakes are a thing...

What's on the lever side, banjo or regular compression fitting?
