Too impatient to wait on the warranty replacement, so I decided to upgrade from the Terra C to the CL. I'll sell the warranty wheels to defray costs

I addition to replacing the bearings for the Stumpy rear triangle, I'm doing the headset as well (was the stock FSA).

And in a bike-adjacent move, I decided to get serious about my truck bed (not my truck, just product depiction)

there are a few companies that make an elastomer isolator handle for the hilifts, and they work a treat for keeping the handle from getting floppy, they also have a neoprene boot for the moving head part too.

Roval Traverse SL II for the SJ Evo. Been running regular Controls and feel like I've been just getting away with it. Also looking forward to seeing how the wider ID works with the Schwalbe radials.

Oh yea, I swapped out the Apidura bags on the gravel bike for ALMSTHRE. Got a new top tube, frame bag, handlebar, and saddle bag, all in this color scheme.

Also changed the bottle cages from top mount to side loaders, because what a pain in the nuts it is to get out bottles with a frame bag in place.

On the moto side of things cone valves are supposed to work really well. Hate to say it but you should've just bought a manitou mezzer lol

Love this guy, a real hack. Testing is huck to flat jumps….the Mezzer is a great 6 year old design, kinda flexible imo. The a2 Zeb and fox38 performance elite are both much more resistant to feeling twisty in the rock fields and that’s all I seen to be riding these days. The difference is kinda like comparing 28 spoke and 32 spoke wheels for rigidity. The 28 spoke wheel tend deflect and twist…. That’s how the Mezzer felt to me. If you are not old and fat and riding a 55lb e bike, it might not be as noticeable but to me it is noticeable. …. And at $749 bucks…. It’s cheaper

I check most of those boxes and didn't notice any change in flex when going from a Fox 38 to the Mezzer.

I think some are more sensitive to fork flex than others. I run a Cane Creek Helm (35mm stanchions) on my Megatower and I've never felt it get deflected off a chosen line. I sometimes feel the ZEB on my Heckler is too much fork for me.

I do tend to notice flex when it’s there. I just don’t notice the difference between the Fox 38 and the Mezzer. Going from a RFX 36 to the Fox 38 was a noticeable improvement.

Silca Ti bourbon bottle cages for the gravel bike, because...🧐

Color was really inconsistent (and I had read that there were some QC issues with fading, verified), so these got sent back. It's been really hard to find 3 bronzey/scotchy/coffee cages that I like, so I went in another direction; Gold. naturally, I'm swapping out bolts and valves.
