My project POS..... never ending money pit, however... on hold right now as I finance the bike habit.

I also have a red gti just like it as a daily driver. yet another POS lol

Sweet. You gotta take that thing to WV this year. That track is SICK.
We got 8th place up in CT and we got destroyed in WV but it was worth it. Our car is too slow on the big track, but holy crap is it fun! CT was fun too with the tiny track playing bumper cars and being such a puckerfest trying to pass people.

Summit Point? That was tough in the formula continental. Mechanical grip is hard to come by....or at least it was 12 years ago.

Limerick is a gas; momentum track that is good for lower hp classes. If you haven't ran Watkins Glen, that is the *must do* as far as Mid-Atlantic and NE tracks are concerned.
 
Yeah Summit Point, we were on the track with the carousel.
Our car has no HP, it's a 2.2 subaru wagon. I was getting buzzed by MR2's going twice my speed. But then I would pass them as they were parked in the grass in the next corner 😉

If we go back to CT in a rain storm, I think we would win 🙂

I'm sad to say we're down to a single VW at the moment, but it's a fun one. Looking at this picture reminds me that I need to drop it to summer height this weekend, it doesn't seem like we're gonna get snow anytime soon.

I've been working on getting my wife on board to buy one but she has nightmares about the last Vanagon we had. My MK4 is the 16th VW we've owned since we got married 14 years ago...

Our red Lemons car has done very well. Unfortunately, I missed some of the events.

Stafford, 16th
Nelson Ledges, 6th (1st in class), had to be pulled off a tire wall but still finished well
Summit Point Shenandoah, 2nd (1st in class), blown trans, replaced overnight
NJMP ~35th (DNF), blown clutch/fixed/blown clutch hydraulics/fixed/blown motor/done
Chumpcar Nelson, 1st

My next car will be more interesting, probably a slightly more rare BMW but with a much more interesting powerplant, probably a domestic straight/ slant six.

I would love to build something wacky like Spank and SpeedyCop usually do but my team mates are boring wankers interested only in winning.
