Quick Question about Trainers....Compu Trainer or E-Motion Rollers and a power tap?

I am sorry if this has been discussed before; but today's ride is not going to happen due to met and snowy roads here in western PA. So the time has come to look for a trainer. I have it narrowed down to either a race mate compu-trainer or a set of e-motion rollers and a wheel laced up with a power tap.

I would love to hear the pro and cons of the collective trainer brain trust; I am open to other options as well; I hate skipping a training day and the idea of black ice on the roads make it a prudent day to skip.

Con-the price tag on those things are pretty steep for something that will only get minimal use(imo)

For a fraction of the cost you could buy a cyclops trainer(for example), a hr monitor and a bunch of Carmichael or Spinerval dvd's and have at it.

powertap and trainer. Computrainers are killer training tools, but the powertap will be better for you all year. I said trainer over rollers, since you can focus more on your workout with a trainer and less on not riding into your TV. Also, those rollers are killer expensive and you can go for a nicer powertap hub with the money saved.

I love my e-motions and I've owned compu-trainers, standard rollers and fluid trainers over the years.

I would love me some emotion rollers and I should have asked for them for christmas. Too late!

Your money will be best invested in a powertap and a trainer.

+1 for power tap.Trainer or rollers are up to you. If I had to choose one I would go trainer and power tap.
