Just want to give let everyone know about Ram & Rooster in Metuchen. If you're looking for a special occasion meal or you're comfortable with a $300+ meal for two, it's pretty freakin good. 8 course tasting menu with Chinese influences.

Just back from the wife's b'day dinner and pretty impressed.

This post really puts your belaboring a dishwasher replacement in an interesting light.

I mean, unless you just went out to eat because you can’t wash the dishes at home, which I can appreciate.

So, the chef/owner is Chinese but the meal is really just nothing like typical Chinese food. They do have a tea menu but I'm not really a tea drinker so I didn't pay attention. It's a BYOB restaurant so we were drinking wine as was everyone else around us at the chef's table. They change the menu every 6 weeks, but after yesterday's market it might be a while before we go back.
