I checked out the trails up at Skyline Dr today and most trails are clear of snow. There still is some of Wednesdays snow in the woods though, and things are slightly wet/soft in spots. Your best bet may be early morning before it warms up. Hopefully it will all dry out in a day or two.

Just got back from RW. Conditions are good. 2 or 3 wet spots and some softness but I wasnt leaving tracks/ruts. Early will be even better. Did not run into any snow at all. A few fireroads have some running water in places.

Some of the fireroads (one that stuck out was the backside of renegade where the race course goes) got destroyed by the winter, very rocky and washed out.

Drove up through the lower part of Cannonball, Skyline Dr and Ringwood today. Trails look clear - there is some snow scattered throughout the woods, but the trails are, for the most part, they should be fine. And whatever snow you come across will provide some extra fun. I agree with Pixy and Map, though - Early AM will provide for better riding before the ground softens up - Enjoy!

Not supposed to hit 32 til noon. I'm gonna try to make it there for a 9am start.

Thanks Ellen, I could not agree more ! Tired of dodging potholes and getting beeped at by loving motorist.

I was up at Skyline at 7am this morning, and rode till 9am. Conditions good, temps about 23 or so to start, and approaching 30 when we finished. Walked a bunch of frost heaved sectons to minimize damage, but most of the trails in good shape at those temps. Things were starting to soften a bit by 9, so I agree with Pixy - go early!

Did I run into you at the ruins around 8 and asked about your 29er?

This is the typical route I take:

Where did you start from and stop, and what brand/model was your bike? I only took a quick glance and noticed the wheels.

The blue trail off the pipeline heading towards the lake had a couple of downed trees. Other than that and some rutted out trails south of 287, it was good.

max speed 69.5!! you must've been ripping the descent back to the soccer field (i mean that other place u start from) :getsome:

was going to get out today, but as always, as soon as I lay my hands on my bikes something else fails and I am unable to ride 😡

We had a great ride, alot of the fireroads are very rutted but not to big a problem. We rode from Lot C to Warm Puppy to 6 Bridges to the Switchbacks and cut back on Skylands back down to Lot C. There was very light snow on top of the climbs but really just a dusting.

I rode RW today and trails were dry. Most roads were dry as well. Unfortunately, it looks like rain is coming in tonight.
