shed - foundation

Long story short - I need space. My garage is overfilling with my kids outdoor toys and I'm having hard time getting to my bikes 🙁
-
With that being said I'm looking for someone to build a gravel foundation for a shed using pressure treated wood - the shed is 8x12 and looking for foundation to be 10x14(ish)
Does anyone know someone that can do this type of work?

if its just a gravel pad your looking for i would think any landscaper could do that for ya, unfortunately i dont have any specific recommendations.

I did it myself for my shed, it wasn't worth it. Moving 5 yards of 3/4 clean stone with a wheelbarrow was not worth it. Any landscaper should be able to do this for you, just make sure they know what they're doing and use the correct material.

i watched my next door neighbor do this and he regretted every minute of it and wished he hired a landscaper. He also got his shed from Amish Mike.

I did it myself too, I agree that hauling the 3/4 stone with the wheelbarrow suck ass. I also needed to do a fair bit of leveling so by the time I rented a machine from Home Depot it probably just about broke even w/ paying someone

I think @ekuhn has a guy if I remember correctly.

I recommend Amish Mike for the shed itself if you haven't gotten that far yet.
My guy does stone shed pads. Not sure where you live, but he's in the Somerset Bridgewater Area.

Did this myself for an Amish Mike shed, didn't find it to be too hard and it is holding up (except for that damn animal that keeps digging under) pretty well. I actually enjoyed it and didn't find it to be too hard. I like to pick things up and put things down.

Did it myself. Was concerned about the neighborhood groundhogs. Made the stone pad extend about 12"-18" bigger on all sides, forget how deep. Put a layer of chicken wire down in the stone and that has prevented any digging underneath. Hasn't kept the rabbits from hiding under there.

I think my neighbors watched me and either A) abandoned any ambition to get one of their own or B) experienced deep feelings of schadenfreude.
I didn't get it from Amish Mike, but I did get it from the Amish.

I had an issue with groundhogs, but they've been eliminated. After 18yrs of putting up with rodent damage (various sub-species) I've decided that they all need some lead poisoning. So much easier to eliminate the problem vs. spending hours and $$$$ fixing damage. I've cleared it with the local constabulary also, so its Hammer time.

I would worry about my dog running around and somehow ingesting something the rodents left behind even if shes never really in the yard unsupervised.
Don't leave them behind dude, bury them or throw them in the trash, otherwise your yard will be littered with carcasses.

Pellet gun. Its relatively quiet, effective, has limited range, and is legal. It may not be Lalo Salamanca approved, but it gets the job done.
