Stephens State Park Conditions

The NICA race will be at Stephen's next weekend (7th/8th). I'll likely be doing some trail prep on wed this week if anyone wants to join. I haven't been out for a few weeks, but the last time I was out it looked like the old blue was pretty overgrown.

Definitely post up/reach out to me. I'll put it out to Sussex County Composite to come support!

The red waypoints on the attached screenshot were cleared today. Once again, Stephens should be back to the factory settings.

Middle maze was last on my list today, about 2pm. Accessed from the RR crossing trailhead. It wasn't even a saw-out. The log had broken into manageable sections, when it hit the ground. Before I got there, somebody muscled the main segment out of the way. They left behind a few chunks still half impinging on the trail, but it was also moveable. I was quite ok with doing less than more. Lol.

And this is hard to see--either someone maliciosly removed these logs from Tipi Rock or a bear dug a hole in there. Most people go down Tipi Rock, but a buddy of mine's son almost made it up the Tipi Rock and would have been surprised by the missing logs/hole when going down the other side.😡

Anyone around tomorrow afternoon around 4 pm to replace the bridge on the rake?

Need 2-3 more hands to carry the bridge up to the location. Parking on Waterloo Valley Rd and walking in.

So good up high. Took 2 guys out for a little tour who were blown away with this loop/.

Very wet by the lake.

One log down on the northern leg of the maze. I remember on pinch point on Hally Toe and one on Tally Hoe.

Tally ho is back to its former glory. Very fast and a bit overgrown, but so fun. I haven't been hitting it for a while and I really enjoyed it today.

VERY welcome trimming below the mulch. Could use a quick trim of the first 100 feet on the mulch trail.

Trestle is ready for a brush hogging and if I find a day to do it, i'll hit it.
