If you get out early, there is still an opportunity to get a good ride in.

Ridden that route many times on the road bike and the tandem (road). Never in the snow though. The last little kicks up to the overlook and the one to the monument in High Point are a real bi**h for us flatlanders. We generally start at Swartswood Lake in Newton. Thanks for the pics!

My ride was from the winter access lot in High Point; following Sawmill Rd, it continues onto Ridge Rd. The Parker Trail will track across the road into Stokes. Any look at the park maps and following snow machine tracks makes guiding through the parks self explanatory. Expect +20 miles for anything interpark, doing the Stokes Sunrise Mountain lot and return is 10 miles.

OMG, Stokes!! Why didn,t I think of this 3 months ago?! I hope someone told Matty and Segundo......

I road sections of HP Sat and did Sunrise Sunday. They used a bucket loader and cleared snow off the road maybe halfway up from Culvers lake side, Left a lot of slick ice instead. it was cold so the snow was very firm. perfect fatbike conditions.
