There’s a log down across the testbore switchbacks. Third to last turn when heading down.

I’ll try and get out there today to cut it out.

I navigated the Telemark side quite well for not knowing this park and was saying what a great day, wildcat side not so good 😔
By the time I got out of woods onto a road my chainring locking bolt was off, tooth snapped on chainring and going wrong direction on the road. Flipped the bike and pulled my crank. Had to flip the AL lockbolt as it's treads were toast. Able to hand tighten lock bolt assemble crank and get 10 revolutions before chain drop. This repeated for about 2miles until chain snapped about 1k' away from van. So @JimN where did everything fall apart lol? Leaf coverage definitely is some of the excuse but after the wagon wheel bridge I lost all Spidey senses.

Sounds like you need to do more regular bike maintenance 😜

Did you have a plan, or were you just winging it? You hit some good stuff once you finished up all that easy shit, but yeah, you did get turned around a few times. I really like that white trail and think it's great in both directions, but most people disagree. You definitely rode that section of it the harder way though 👍

I hit too much fire road after wagon wheel, did I miss ST? Yeah just winged it. That white trail did get stupid in certain areas but overall pretty fun. I definitely missed off red as well. I'm pretty sure I remember taking trails back to the bat lot last time off red. This is probably my 3x here since 1996 😁

You could have gone slightly further down orange after climbing into Wildcat from Wagon Wheel to make the left onto white earlier. You took a moto trail instead, then went the wrong way on white back toward where you were, and then you took white the hard way toward the hawk watch and went down red. Most people would make a left on the orange fire road which goes toward the hawk watch parking area, and then taken the orange single track to the hawk watch and then down red, because they don't like that white trail, especially in that direction.

After the big descent on red you came to a tee and went left on blue/red. You should have made a right onto light blue instead. That trail goes back to the bat cave lot.

So orange was fire road? I saw after WW a yellow trail straight across, is this also part of WW? I had fun yesterday, but I had to pull the phone too many times on the wildcat side so need to explore more of that side.

So orange was fire road?

Orange starts down by the bat cave and is a somewhat blown out single track climb that goes up toward the cemetery. It turns into a gravel road, and then it's eventually ST again as it heads to the hawk watch. You were briefly on the fire road section of it.

I don't think that's anything good. After Wagon Wheel, I think you missed Odin's Ladder which keeps climbing up as ST. You still have to do some woods road to get back into Wildcat proper from there though.

The "yellow" in the WW/Odin's Ladder area is a rogue marking done by a local church that decided to create a hiking trail loop in that area without discussing it with anyone. I've been meaning to go scratch those markings off the trees. We've had more than a few lost people in my neighbor's back yard on saturday afternoons (his yard backs up to that area of WCR) going around in circles thinking they were on the real yellow trail.
