Any luck with your bike Pete? I was thinking about it after I dropped you off and to me it felt like the drive ring/ratchet ring in your rear hub might have separated itself from the hub shell. Can't think of what else would allow the cranks/chain/cassette to spin without actually driving the rear wheel.

Leaning bike so I can crank the pedals and the wheel does engage/ spin, but you can just stop it with your hand and it grinds. Brought it to the shop today and a sigh says closed until 1/7.
