Got out locally to play a little bit today before taking the kids roller skating. Passed a few hikers but nobody else on two wheels.

For the past two weeks I’ve been totally set for Winter. All my gear is sorted & works, bike all set, light always ready for pre-dawn starts. Then, today.

Pro Tip: no one plays tennis between the holidays!

Scouted out the new park. It's a gravel rider's dream, did 15 miles without even trying. More things to come...

Sorry it won't be open until the Spring, but it's one of the parks in Fresh Kills on Staten Island (yes, the old dump, lol). Lots of double track gravel, some paved roads as well. This is just phase 1. The plan is to stage some bike racing in there, with some singletrack added eventually as well.
