The Guitar Player Thread.

Ordered this before we got hit with major vet bills. Had to put it up for sale before I even played it. It’s a tenor baritone. 8C14E6DC-5CED-42C5-8D3A-1AF12370C2A8.jpeg

Guitar and bike related question:
Have any of you guitarists lost strength in your pinky finger after riding drop bars? Ever since I started riding my Diverge, I have noticed my pinky isn't as strong and I have a tough time playing licks that I normally breeze through with ease...

It’s possible you may be getting cubital tunnel syndrome.

I tap the side of my bars all day long while riding. I do it unintentionally just as a sort of fidget while riding, but I can only imagine it helps keep everything flowing properly. After Ultras I can't feel my pinky or ring finger for sometimes months, but they still move the same.

I kind of fidget too, and make sure to move my hands around, but I do mostly ride with my hands on the hood. As I'm looking at my hand now, I am seeing calluses starting to form at the bottom of the pinky side of my palms down by the wrist. Looks and feels like too much pressure on that area.

During my ride tonight, I was really paying attention to the way my hands sit on the drop bars, and noticed how twisted my wrist is (I know there's a technical term for it but I don't know it). The way it twists really does seem to pinch that ulnar nerve. Plus, the more forward body position on that bike just puts additional pressure on my wrists and hands.
Never had this issue with flat bar mountain bikes. Honestly think I'm gonna sell the Diverge, as fun as it is, and stick with mtb w/flatbars. Being able to play is more important to me than riding. Anyone interested in a Diverge?
To keep this guitar related, here's my 2014 LP Standard I did up in gold hardware and black plastics:

i would get a bike fit before ditching the bike, it may be something simple you can change (bar width, stem ect) that would make the bike comfortable to ride.
