This sort of scenario merits a discussion of its own as a "CX skills" thread. A significant part of race course management is putting yourself in position to not be penalized by the other guy's screw-ups.And in my class, in my section OF that class, there was time gained by avoiding D'OH moments; anticipating someone starting high on the off camber, blowing it and slewing across your line, being in the proper gear for exit, stuff like that. I loved that section.
