MOVING
Yeah, moving time is here. After 3.5 good years in Morristown I'm packing it up this month and heading to a buddy's place in Warren. Less bro bars, more machine tools and I'll be equidistant from the swamp. The negative is my commute will be more like 25-30 instead of 15 minutes. Damn.
In typical "Matt" style I've committed all of my weekend for the rest of the month and have decided to undertake my moving during the week.
While also training.
NICE.
As luck will have it I drove my fatigue through the roof since I got back from Alaska, moved my fitness up to my previous peak of the season and now have a half rest week! Perfect. So all I gotta do now MOVE EVERYTHING and paint a bedroom in the new place. I've already moved half my bikes all of my records and one airplane propeller.
I'll be using my two days off this week to paint. I started the Spackle game last night. Planning trim and Ceiling on Wednesday. I'll probably wait to do the windows for a slow night after I move in.
Zach and Laura are getting their Uhaul this weekend so when I get back from W.Mass Sunday there will be
nothing in the living room, a half empty kitchen and
nothing in the second bedroom - maybe I'll use that room to stage.
Ben offered the 2nd Gear Bikes van to help move which I'll probably take him up on. I may do furniture 8/27 then drive to Springfield MA to race Blunt Park 8/28.
KEEP MOVING, ALWAYS AND FOREVER.
SO many holes. Plaster walls and some large areas that need extra massaging where paint was scraped away.
Whoever living here last was a huge asshole when they painted all the trim, windows and doors black. Of course, I'll be painting them white. Er, "Swans Wing."
Lucky Jim's got a paint gun and a 5 gallon bucket of primer. Yeah, file this into "cross training."
