The Indoor Cyclist's support thread

Indoor training related maybe this will help someone else from going nuts.

Last week I jumped on Zwift and the AppleTV remote wasnt working properly to adjust the volume or power on/off - this worked automatically for me for the past 2+ years. Checked all the settings and restarted everything and it still didnt work so I had to find the actual TV remote to adjust the TV for that ride.

Last night got around to checking it again and this time with more patience I found this little tidbit which worked on the first try:

Surprised to see Christian Vande Velde as a peloton instructor. Equally surprised about myself still consistently using the peloton 🤣

Honeymoon is over for Virtual TP, the rides are pretty crowded every time and I suspect a huge drop off after April fools. Just in time to start riding outside.

I am using my sb20 with Zwift on Apple TV. My new Garmin hrm200 connects but does not show anything but zero. I have the bikes for control, power and cadence. I've tried using companion and BT through phone and no good.It works with Garmin Edge. @Patrick ?

Can you get the hrm to read directly through the Garmin app?

id also suggest to try to pair it directly to your phone and launch the garmin or strava app and see if its reading anything

Apple TV only supports 2 Bluetooth channels (well 3, but one is dedicated to the remote). So, if it works with the companion app but not native Apple TV, that’s the reason.

May not be relevant here but Headphones/earbuds count as connections …

I read 'now good' as "no good"

DT???

The HRM connects but registers zero.

i guess it makes sense this thread goes quiet after the nice weather starts.

Came across this article wondering if anyone on here took advantage of this already, or if your not interested I could Paypal you the shipping cost to get them. Im less concerned about virtual shifting and more interested in just using them for game controls vs reaching for the phone on the companion app.

Are there versions of the Kickr I should avoid due to incompatibility of the current software which matters? I'm starting indoors early this year...
