Things that make you frown :(

Sorry if this is a bummer.

This is a pic of my friends Domane eBike that I decided to sell to TPC because all I got was bullshit offers.

We met 10+ years ago when I first started riding. He got sick 2 years ago and passed from cancer back in Feb. 1.5 months after his daughters wedding.

Packing up and shipping out his last bike (I sold 3 others locally that he had on behalf of his wife ) feels a bit like I am shipping him off. I struggled with selling them all because it’s a piece of him that’s gone. At least I still have some of his other cycling stuff that I can use so he’s kinda always around anyway.

Hopefully someone gets to enjoy it the way he did.

He had a great friend in you!! Your dedication to him after his passing is awesome and you shouldn’t feel weird about selling his bikes as you have undoubtedly many memories of great times together. Now someone else gets to enjoy them the way your friend did.

Maybe send the buyers a note telling them about your friend and his love for bikes and how his family wants the bikes to be enjoyed by their new owners.

I did that when I sold the other ones in person. Each one went to a great person who really got a bike they will make use of.

This eBike is going to the Pros closet so don’t think they want any personal notes with it.

For sure. There has since been an updated article.
That road doesn't even have a shoulder. So, someone was moving over the center line to get past the cyclists safely, and this guy decides to try and pass him on the right? What did he think that guy was moving into oncoming traffic for? That's insane, that guy deserves prison for life. Jesus, if you're gonna drive after drinking the least you can do is attempt to do it safely (no, I don't think anyone should attempt to drive after drinking... At all, no matter the amount).
