But after four weeks, antibody levels began to drop off in people who got boosted with the Pfizer vaccine while they continued to increase in people who got J&J's vaccine. J&J's vaccine also increased the numbers of immune cells called CD8 T cells.
Antibodies are a first line of immune protection that can stop a virus from ever infecting cells, while T cells come in later and destroy infected cells. This T-cell defense doesn't prevent mild infections, but can stop them from progressing to severe disease.
While the study did not include the Omicron variant, Barouch said the findings may be important for coming up with ways to fight the latest variant.
"For variants such as Omicron that might partially evade antibody responses, CD8 T cell responses may be particularly relevant for protection," he said. "We think they're relevant in general but they may become particularly relevant if a variant emerges that can largely escape from antibodies."

Mix-and-match J&J Covid booster raised immune response after Pfizer vaccine, study finds | CNN
Using the Johnson & Johnson vaccine as a booster for people initially immunized with the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine produces a strong immune response and may do more to elicit protection against severe disease, researchers reported Sunday.www.cnn.com
In 6 months.So I have 2 Pfizer + 1 moderna booster. Add a J&J kicker?
A 65 person trial is not powered nearly enough to come up with these types of conclusions, they posted it online BEFORE peer review to get into the news, and J&J/Janssen funded it. Take this study with a grain of salt.![]()

Was going to take it with a booster.A 65 person trial is not powered nearly enough to come up with these types of conclusions, they posted it online BEFORE peer review to get into the news, and J&J/Janssen funded it. Take this study with a grain of salt.
I would mix it with a classic Margarita or Manhattan, do it in style. Was going to take it with a booster.

Pro-Trump counties now have far higher COVID death rates. Misinformation is to blame
An analysis by NPR shows that since the vaccine rollout, counties that voted heavily for Donald Trump have had more than twice the COVID mortality rates of those that voted for Joe Biden.www.npr.org
Is the method of death count still "Covid related" as in; a person had a heart attack and could not get proper care due to Covid patients over loading the medical facility, and died, therefore it is a Covid related death?
It does not look that way based on this site:

The Leading Causes of Death in the US for 2020

but the internet doesn't always make it true.

That's what makes it so much worse. Good people are dying because they are taking a political stance and deciding not to get vaccinated. I'm kinda sick of seeing people die for no good reason. At a certain point you start to not feel bad about people who refuse to get vaccinated without a good reason. Why do they trust the science to try and save them when it's too late, but refuse to trust it for prevention? That's the world we live in today, I guess. No one wants to try and prevent anything bad from happening, they just want a quick fix when shit goes wrong. Please reduce the political tones.
Correlated does not equal causal.
Also, remember there are real people behind the numbers too.

I don't think they are taking a "political" stance -
I'm more of the opinions that it is a "you don't tell me what to do"
and serious mistrust of the government - any government.
throw in a little bravado - "we don't need that crap, we lived through....."
to round it out.
sure, there is misinformation, because those reasons aren't good enough on their own.
They are the only reasons left after the valid ones of those who can't vaccinate (any vaccine.)
And those who just want to wait until there is more than a couple years of data.
I've mentioned that I can accept this - at least it is based in caution.
While the vaccines look like they are helping in the short-term by all measures,
there is still the idea of long term effects - which don't matter if *you* are dead.
Mostly agree with your last sentence.

My Chiropractor just died on Friday after being on a Ventilator since Sept. 1st. He was a Trumper, Anti-Vaxxer, and then they unplugged him to "Let God Heal Him". The posts by his wife are heartbreaking because she's into SCIENCE.
