This Thread Blows - C19 and beyond

Yeah, it’s a testament to the survey they used how nuanced a picture you get, which reveals exactly how complicated vaccine hesitancy is.
It’s not as simple as getting the information out there, though there’s no telling if these numbers would be better if messaging was clear and transparent from the beginning.

One thing I take comfort in is that looking at other countries, it’s not just us.
Small comfort, but some.

The documentation they offer with each bit of data is pretty clear- it does help in understanding what you’re looking at.

Mixed messaging and scaring people off via J&J pause certainly made it worse. But yes there are large groups of hesitants everywhere - 70 to 80% seems to be a ceiling in most countries. If we ever get to 70+ I'd be surprised.

This was an interesting survey done by Carnegie Mellon. Sample size > 5 million. When they looked at vaccine hesitantcy by educational level - the highest hesitantcy was among PhDs at 23% - higher than high school group at 20%. Caveat this was thru end of May:
My son's school does not require vaccination. They do require everyone to report their vaccination status. Almost all the undergrads are vaccinated. The largest percentage of non-vaccinated are the Professors.

Haha well here are some things Trump never said, nor did any other president ever!

"I’m not supposed to take any questions, but go ahead," Biden said to a reporter before quickly changing his mind when he was asked about Afghanistan.
"I’m not gonna answer Afghanistan now," he said before turning his back to the press and walking away.

"Ladies and gentlemen, they gave me a list here. The first person I was instructed to call on was Kelly O'Donnell from NBC," Biden said.

"I’ll take your questions, and as usual, folks, they gave me a list of the people I’m going to call on," Biden told the press following his anticipated meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

"I'm sorry," he said, after listening to questions about his own mask-wearing and a summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin. "This is the last question I'll take, and I'm really gonna be in trouble."

it won't be a surprise if they let him hang himself and get rid of him using the 25th Amendment.

I worked with plenty of PhDs throughout my career - and had a few in my group. My take - very smart people, but little common sense.

I think on clear messaging about the vaccine while it was being developed-
I feel not enough information was shared with the public that the basis for these shots was established tested methods-

With not enough information out there, there’s lots more room to form gut feelings and absorb the misinformation.

Not just common sense, but little hands on experience as well. Very few have good teamwork and people skills.
I take exception to this, well maybe you got me on the people skills. Lol

Some just like good beer and whiskey i hear.....
Not sure if the penchant for vinyl is endemic of the cohort, or incidental.

Hey, the graphic can be "animated" to show the change over time.
Since the Will-get, and might-get should tend towards 0, that means the Def Won't would continue
to climb - yet it seems to be yielding a bit. (couple of %, so maybe not significant) so call it a "trend"

I'd interpret this as a softening of the def-nots (defKnots?) -
I didn't look at the other data to see if it supports this, just the education level stuff.
might also be lying cause they are sick of hearing how bad they are.

Which part seems cajoled from the delusional morass of a chemically altered psyche?
I know I misuse the f outta some commas, but your use of punctuation, general formatting and random half thoughts strung together is usually a sign.

I simply falls into “at least he isn’t trump”. Regardless, he won’t be here for a second term, either they will poison him to get KH up there or trump will win in 2024.

i think i got excited about the two subjects. 😉

The first part was mtbnj member specific - maybe a little too inside?

The post's second part assumed being in the frame of mind of the behavioural website.
Posting without context is usually my biggest issue (not bringing the reader into the context of the post)
and punctuation, and random thoughts. 😀
