This seems so crystal clear to me. I don’t want to get a potentially deadly disease to get immunity from it. I’ll take the shot.
 
Our triple vaxxed son in NJ finally got covid. A few days ago started with a sore throat, a little congestion, no fever. No tests around so ordered via Amazon and got test yesterday - strong positive. Said he's had much worse colds.

vax status is not a violation. Personally, if a co wants to make vax a condition of employment, so be it.

release of medical records without permission is.

It may be parsing - but if a co admins a test, they can get the results. all good.
if you had a pos test 6 months ago from an independent lab, and the employer wants the records, you can deny it.
The lab won't release it.

so you being the good employee show them a PDF of the positive result.
Is that proof? May as well get a fake vax card.

Oh wait, I have a QR code that takes me to a website with vax status. Probably couldn't fake that 😉

Unfortunately, the QR code is not universal and does not work outside of US or potentially even outside of NJ 🤬

During Thanksgiving time I was visiting a friend in Swiss/Liechtenstein. To enter the restaurant you had to show proof of vaccination and one restaurant kind of laughed at the CDC card saying it was worthless. I was glad I had a negative covid test that was valid in Europe (needed it to fly out of Zurich).

If we need to prove that we are vaccinated we should have a global system for validation and not patch work that we have.

I am in the same boat as @JimN I rather not get Covid to get immunization.
