Unapologetic Lifer for Rock and Roll
Thomasville China Cabinet. I believe the build date on this is 1976. We are the second owners; purchased from a family friend many years ago. It’s been well cared-for and is in really nice condition. Cherry finish. Glass shelves.

67.5” wide at the base, 84” tall at the highest point, 17.5” deep.

Mrs. G & I are repurposing a number of rooms, after 30+ years in our home. Our formal dining room hasn’t gotten any use in years, so it’s becoming a library room.

The dining table and chairs have been donated, but none of the charitable institutions will take the china cabinet.

Come with a truck and take it away. The glassed-in top cabinet can be separated from the lower drawer section.

Bumping this, because it’s far too nice for fire or being put at the curb.

Neither Habitat For Humanity nor The Salvation Army will take a china cabinet. I’m going to check with our local Goodwill, with fingers and toes crossed.

Try the Lupus Society. They take a lot of stuff, but haven't tried anything that big.

Lupus Foundation won’t take china cabinets.

Goodwill put us in touch with ReSupply, whose website includes china cabinets among the items they take, so we booked a pickup. Only to have them follow up with a message that they don’t take china cabinets, but will still haul it away for a fee.

Neither Mrs. G or I have a Facebook account, and we’re not feeling much motivation to go that route.

But it’s interesting to see how difficult it can be to get rid of a perfectly good piece of large furniture, if you don’t want to use FB/CL.

Probably a pain, but if you put it on the curb with a Free sign someone will probably grab it.

There's a ton of donation places near me and if I've learned anything, China Cabinets are less than worthless. Every resale place has the walls lined with them and they can't get rid of them.

China cabinets are an east coast only thing. Gotta have nice china to put in it, and those wedding gifts are a thing of the past.

Haha, exactly. We had this thing full of Royal Albert china, dating back to our engagement.

That stuff is now all packed away, and a “pay us to take your junk” service removed the china cabinet yesterday.

Thanks to everyone for the suggestions. Please lock it up, @Patrick .
