To good to b true?

Knows about bikes
I don’t need this, but have thought about a fat bike in the past. With winter coming up this caught my eye. https://www.facebook.com/share/nNLcpKwbauxc5Dnu/?mibextid=79PoIi . Admittedly I don’t keep a close eye in cycling, but am aware that 29” wheels have taken over and 26” have gone the way of the dodo on most types on mtn bikes. Does this hold true for fat bikes? Could this thing possibly be this cheap? Seems it’d be worth a lot more. The pessimist in me says scam/stolen. Thoughts?

Had that bike. liked it a lot, only reason I don't still have it is I got a Farley 9 with suspension fork.
a 26" fat bike wheel rim with typical OD on 4" tires gets you equalish to 29" standard mtb tire as I understand.

This was my Facebook post, so it's not a scam/not stolen.

To answer your initial question: yes, that is very cheap. Something is not right, but I see that's been corrected. As for 26" wheels- that's what a lot of fatbikes use. 4-5" tires will increase the diameter substantially. I believe this gives a similar circumference to a 29x2.3 wheel.

run 29x3 on the fat bike in there summer!

@JimN ran 27.5

I'm running 26x5 when I ride it

26 rules the fat bike world. I ride 26x5 year round.

When I copied and posted the link to the ad yesterday it was listed for $200, that’s what had me thinking something was up. Now it’s $1200. Guessing you mistyped and have corrected. Glws, nice bike.
yes I saw it also for $200 and now its $1200 - thats why I was thinking to buy it and see how much it costs to get corrective surgery to be shorter. 😛 😀

I immediately thought go buy it then realized I'd rather pass up a legit even if rediculously good deal than buy a stolen bike. I'd feel sick every time I rode it. Thats' why I posted to ask, even if it meant loosing out.
