Just to close this up - I no longer own it,
and it never made it back to my place.
It has quite a few miles on it, and may have left the country (or will)

now about that shockwiz....

Can you post a list of power tools you will loan out? I’m building a deck…

which deck top did you decide on ?

I have a framing nailer, and hanger nailer you can borrow....

Strapshot is a one use tool, but a lifesaver if doing hangers, since every hole is required to be filled.
can't remember if i have the one that shoots 1.5 or 2.5 - autohammer comes in handy too.

Have some of you given up on lending stuff out, due to the ratio of give/receive being so uneven that you have had it with so called friends?
Or just cutting back on friends you lend to?
Just being a little cynical.

When my parents bought their first house in 1963 my father went out and bought a used table saw for the basement shop. On the backboard the previous owner wrote "I'd rather lend my cat than my tools. The cat comes back by itself." It's still there 59 years later.

i mark/engrave all my tools, and keep a whiteboard for anyone who borrows stuff. I also limit the recipients to people who will bring stuff back (good stuff never goes out to an unknown)

my son told me his HS driver's Ed teacher requires you to leave your sneaker/shoe with her if you need to borrow a pencil.

seeing how this is a HS im sure she has a collection of single sneakers under her desk.
