So many answers,...once the snow melts...🙁
Starting with Ringwood, Wawayanda and Jungle Habitat. Lotsa Black and red bits.

As far as shops, isn't there a place IN Hoboken?? Locals?

Check this out to get you started.

There are many good places that are less than an hour of hoboken.

Stephens, Allamuchy, Ringwood, Deer park, mahlon, jungle, try to hit as many as you can. Not sure what the closest shop is to hoboken, but mtbnj's directory has a bunch of local shops listed. Many have pretty nice demo bikes that are available. Are you bringing a bike with you? Will you have a car to use?

Ya Eddie, I watch every episode of Top Gear, but I cant say that im familiar with those terms.....but its not like Clarkson will riding a bike anytime soon 🙂

Thats me when riding with a hangover ha ha.Thanks all for the help and humour. Red and Black refers to trail difficulty.Red would be nice ST with plenty of tech bits like jumps, berms, drop off's ,wide north shore and short sharp climbs and would all be rollable.Black would be difficult sections like steep rock gardens, large drop offs ,skinny north shore.I believe state side these sections would be refered to as GNAR.

Cheers All.

PPL usually get murdered in the face for using that term around here. But since you are coming from across the pond, we'll let it slide.

Any chance you know Danspank?

Lets get it right, it's Gnar Gnar. Or maybe you can only use that is you are from Canada :hmmm:

FTR, really no trails outside of Diablo mtb bike fall into the black category. Hell, based on your description of red bits, even the rock trails fall into maybe pink bits.
