Do you prefer this or the Diverge STR?
I was thinking about this as I was riding today. The blue bike I rode today is older, when the Diverge had more of a road bike geometry. The components are also more suited to a road bike. So the bike is lighter and has skinnier tires with minimal tread. Therefore less rolling resistance but a lot less confidence at high speed cornering or rough terrain. Definitely zippier than the STR and a better climber.

The STR is a more fun bike to ride. More forgiving on the body with the suspension. And really helps on rough terrain. Also instills a lot more confidence turning and braking. The other day I was moving pretty fast and a kid ran across their lawn onto the path I was on. I locked up the brakes and skidded but stopped quickly. On the older diverge it would have been over the bars or Crashed into the kid.

So I’m very happy with both and adjust my riding route dependent on which one I’m on.
