WSF MTB TM 11/10/24.
We’ll be riding and clipping this Sunday. Everyone is invited! Give back to the trails you enjoy! Meet in the lot at 9:00. Bring your MTB, bug spray, water, snacks, suitable footwear, and a sense of humor. Clippers will be provided. You will be asked to sign a waiver. Must be over 18 years old to attend. If anyone is asking about the current WSF wildfire.
The fire located in Waterford is approximately six miles west of the 206/Atsion parking lot. Approximately ten miles from the PBT's northern Quaker Bridge Road crossing. The NJ FFS recently posted that the 45 acre fire is 90% contained.

Great productive time today. Made great progress on blue trail. Thanks for all you’ve done over the years. Happy to be apart of maintaining the trails that I ride so frequently. Tho I do allot of maintenance myself at Wharton and Estell, it was great to see the faces behind the screen names. Cheers boys!!

Yesterdays tally. A long section of the Huckleberry Trail, along with one FireTower Trail road crossing, was clipped back, and several blowdowns were removed from a creek crossing.

There is a motorcycle event in the area on the 17th. Leave your ear buds at home and pay attention when crossing the sand roads. brrrraaaaap

I did 3 more hours of trail maintenance today. Finished up blue to red. And then started some red but was pretty beat. Red and white are very over grown and need some attending to. Tree down at mile 3.2 going clock wise. And another one about a mile after that. No route arounds possible and too big for my saw. Man I’m tired!! Cheers fellers!!

Big thanks to our TrailCrew A-Team, the Patriots Loop (TeaBerry, OakHill, and HuckleBerry Trails) was clipped back today. I'm recovering from recent surgery (thanks Dr. Joshi!) and took it easy walking/clipping the first miles w/ my dogs. Thanks to all that said “hi!” while riding by.
Monday’s forecasted blizzard will likely drop some limbs and more big ones. If you’re out there riding and can safely drag stuff off trail, please do. Thanks! Next scheduled trail work day is 2/2/25.

We got some wet snow last night. (Shortly after taking this pic, a large clump dropped off a branch next to me. Keep moving.

[Sandshark]

Rode at Batsto yesterday; rode the entire length of blue, white, and red, and both orange legs between blue and parking lot. There a lot (dozens?) of trees down, especially on the upper blue. Surprisingly there were not many trees down on the white and hardly any on the red. Some of the trees could be ridden over or around, and others could be handled with a dab over, but there are numerous big trees that will have to be cut out to be passable. I have to say though, the weather was great and the riding was still very enjoyable.
